Gain the first-hand experience you need to become a sought-after athletic trainer
With an accelerated 3+2 Bachelor of Science and Master of Science, our grads gain hands-on experience with world-class faculty and find fulfilling careers in this exciting health field. Our 3+2 program is coupled with our bachelor's in exercise science. Students interested in this accelerated degree program would apply to UConn for admittance to the exercise science undergraduate degree program. Once accepted students would meet with an advisor during summer orientation where they would express their interest in this accelerated degree program. Students would then be assigned a specific advisor for this degree within the undergraduate exercise science program.
The accelerated degree would require students to take courses year-round (including summer courses). Students need to maintain all the requirements as set forth by the UConn MSAT program. During the 4th semester, they would meet with the program director of the Masters in Athletic Training program to review whether or not they are still interested and have met the requirements for entrance to the Masters of Athletic Training degree. Following this meeting students would complete an application of interest to secure their seat in the Masters Program. Student will matriculate as long as they continue to meet the requirements and standards as set forth by the UConn MSAT program.
